Demand for housing - home ownership grows.

Updated: Jan 28, 2020

August 2019 market stats show that demand for more expensive home types has rebounded to a certain degree in 2019, albeit not back to the record levels seen in 2016 and the first quarter of 2017. Market data is continuing to show that prices can and may continue to rise. This is great news for Homeowners, Buyers, and Sellers. Buyers may want to consider entering the market, and Sellers may consider moving up.

People are attracted to our region from all around the world and they need a place to live. Demand for housing – homeownership continues to grow.

If you or someone you know is thinking of buying or selling a home and would like a free Market Evaluation or specific statistics for your region/neighborhood; or if you have any Real Estate questions, please call me, I will be happy to help.

*As of the last day i.e. August 31

Note from the chart below that while sales were up by 13.4% year-over-year, new listings were down by 3.0% for the same period, and the average selling price was up by 3.6%.
